Reign Competitive Pathways U11 Development (birth year 2016 & 2017) Registration Opens April 20th

This program is designed for players who are planning to try out for U11 Development, particularly those entering a competitive environment for the first time.

The focus will be on building strong foundational skills, confidence, and an understanding of the pace and habits expected in competitive hockey. Sessions will be structured, coach-led, and age-appropriate, with an emphasis on skating, puck control, and decision-making.

Reign Competitive Pathways U13 Program (birth years 2014 & 2015) Registration Opens April 20th

This program is intended for players preparing for U13 competitive / rep hockey, and will focus on increasing pace of play, decision-making, and overall compete level. Half of the sessions will be coached by professional coaches.

Sessions will be high-tempo and game-focused, incorporating small area games and situational play to help players adjust to the demands of competitive hockey.

Beginner Development Sessions for CRFMHA players! Registration opens May 16th

This program is designed for players looking to continue building their skills after participating in First Shift, Overtime!, and Esso Fun Days, and to help prepare for the 2026–27 season.

Program Details:

  • Location: Oak Bay Recreation Centre (1975 Bee Street)
  • Capacity: 35 players
  • Cost: $150

Most sessions will be led by Scott Grover (Science of Skating), along with support from CRFMHA volunteer coaches who are trained and certified through Hockey Canada and BC Hockey.

Important:
For insurance purposes, participants must be registered for the 2026–27 CRFMHA season prior to enrolling in this program. If you are planning to register, please complete your season registration first.

Friday Night Development

Please join us weekly from Friday April 10th until Friday August 14th at Pearkes Arena for our development sessions. Please note NO sessions on the Friday May 15th.
 
These sessions are open to CRFMHA Members ONLY.  
All eligible participants will receive it directly.
 
Please register by birth year only - no substitutions.  Registration is aligned with player placement for the 2026-27 season. Goalies please register and your times/group will be determined after the first session (email to follow for those that register)

These sessions are geared towards all ages & skill levels, and will ALL be run by professional coaches.

Please note:
·       There are no parents allowed in the change room for U13 and above. A volunteer sign up sheet will be going out to have two parents monitoring the changing rooms.
·       If cost is a barrier, please send a confidential email to registrar@crfmha.ca as we may be able to provide financial assistance.
·       Space is limited.  Register early to avoid disappointment!

Hockey Canada Development Hub
Hockey Canada Development Hub – Victoria, a new player development initiative being piloted this spring in partnership with BC Hockey and the Victoria Royals. Designed for players from U9 through U18, the Hub will deliver standardized, twice-weekly on- and off-ice programming from March 31 to May 28, as well as summer camps in August, all taking place at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Programming will be led by Hockey Canada Certified Skills Coaches, Guest Coaches, and support from the Royals staff.

The launch of the Hockey Canada Development Hub – Victoria reflects the Victoria Royals organization’s commitment to fostering the growth of players and hockey programs across the region, with a strong focus on advancing player development and creating opportunities for players of all skill levels and backgrounds.
