Financial Aid Options

Financial Aid Programs can be found by searching online for:

Kidsport Victoria:
- The KidSport Active Girls grants for organizations are now available – up to $1,000 for the spring/summer season. To complete the application by MAY 1^st, 2024, please visit:
- https://kidsportcanada.ca/british-columbia/greater-victoria/active-girls/ and scroll down to find the link to the application at the bottom of the page.
- Kidsport also offers individual grants for female participant/athletes in 3 areas:

"Proud to Play Like a Girl" – up to $350 award that supports girls, or participants who identify as girls, in earlier stages of participation in a sport OR a physical activity pursuit.

Performance Development - up to $700 award is intended for girls, or participants who identify as girls, pursuing ongoing (3+ consecutive years) and high-level performance development (3x/week or more) in sport OR a physical activity pursuit.

NEW: “Game Changers”- up to $500 award is intended for girls, or participants who identify as girls, pursuing sport-related training or education in leadership development (e.g., coaching, officiating, leadership/training certifications).

Please, don’t let financial barriers stop your child from playing hockey! We understand that many families may find themselves in an unusual financial situation with the impact of COVID. There are multiple programs that might help you with the cost of registration and/or rep hockey fees.

Application forms and information about income criteria are unique to each program. If you do not qualify for assistance through any of the programs listed above, please contact Laurie Wishart, registrar@crfmha.ca to explore other options. All financial assistance inquiries will be welcomed in complete confidence.
